king's wharf is the name of the dock your ship will be moored to and it is in the royal naval dockyard which in turn is in sandys (pronounced sands) parish. see www.thewestend.bm for a look around. from here you are a 30 minute ferry ride from our capital, hamilton which is in pembroke parish. don't confuse the city of hamilton with hamilton parish.

The KING'S / HERITAGE WHARF cruise ship pier is located...within the ROYAL NAVAL DOCKYARD complex (most commonly referred to as simply '..Dockyard..')...in SANDYS PARISH...at Bermuda's far west-end.

BERMUDA--Handy Reference Map--(Orientation, lay-out, relative locations)--

The Dockyard complex is very well connected, via Bermuda's genuinely excellent public transportation system--buses and ferries..with two(2 regular public bus routes (#7--Dockyard-Via South Shore Beaches-Hamilton & #8--Dockyard-Via Middle Road-Hamilton) and the 'seasonal' '..SPECIAL..' express route (no intermediate stops en-route) between DOCKYARD and the public bus stop at the entrance to HORSESHOE BAY beach...and two(2) public ferry routes (BLUE--Dockyard-Hamilton & ORANGE--Dockyard-Saint George's routes) Via Blue route public ferry you can be in downtown Hamilton in twenty(20) very pleasant minutes....via Orange route public ferry, you can be in downtown Saint George's in forty-five(45) very pleasant minutes...via '..SPECIAL..' bus route, you can be at Horseshoe Bay in approx. 30 mins....via 'regular #7 public bus route you can be at alll of the other great beaches along Bermuda's magnificent south shore (from Church Bay to Elbow Beach ) in 25-to 50 very pleasant minutes. One-day and multi-day TRANSPORTATION PASS is available for sale at the VISITORS INFORMATION desk, inside the '..gazebo..' GIFT SHOP, located a few steps from the landward end of your King's/Heritage Wharf cruise ship pier. The TRANSPORTATION PASS will provide you will simple, convenient, '..hop-on/hop-off..' access to all public buses and ferries during your stay.
