Looking for a nice place to stay in Aruba with gorgeous...

My husband and I are possibly planning our first trip to Aruba in May. We are looking for a nice place to stay that has

1) smooth beautiful beaches..that aren't too crowded (this is number 1 on our list since this is what we will be doing most of the trip)

2) clean comfortable hotel (nice asthetic would be good too)

3) delicious food

Maybe you guys can give some recommendations?

If you want an uncrowded beach, then look at one of the hotels on Eagle Beach - much quieter than Palm Beach.

Bucuti - great beach, nice rooms

Divi - if you want all-inclusive

Manchebo or Amsterdam Manor - if you don't want to pay Bucuti prices

Aruba has great restaurants all over the island so I don't think you'll have a problem finding delicious food! :)

I totally agree with Amy...you wont' regret any of those choices, depending of course on your budget and prefrences.

Go and have a beautiful time, Eagle Beach will meet all your criteria.

We just got back last night from a week at Divi Village (the one with the golf course) and LOVED it! We stayed in Building #3, 3rd fl., 1BR unit, #3312. It was very large and peaceful - we spent a lot of time reading on the balcony/porch, high amongst the palms - just heaven! #1 - Divi has a wide, quiet and UNCROWDED beach! I couldn't believe how packed the ones are in the high-rise hotel area - YUK! The beach bar has a stunning view. #2 - the resort is very clean with beautiful landscaping. We both remarked on how they must have a huge staff. #3 - We only had light meals at the Sea Breeze Cafe, and we had the Tamirin's buffet brakfast (across the street) a few times, and they were all good. We had great fun and amazing meals at other spots - Amazonian, Que Pasa, Cuba's Cookin' and Maambo's. Enjoy!

The Bucuti meets #1 and #2 on your list of requirements. their food isn't all that great, BUT there are sooooo many amazing retaurants on the island, i wouldn't waste a meal at a hotel! There are just too many places you can go to eat at that are great, you'd be cheating yourself out of that experience if you went all inclusive (in my humble opinion)

The Bucuti is a wonderful little hotel. The beach is one of the best on the island, you won't find anything like it in the high rise section. The Tara Suites are beautiful as well. Good luck planning!

Are beaches at the hotels in the HI rise area open to all travelers to Aruba, or must you stay at the beach of your hotel?

Going in Jun...39 days and counting til honeymoon.

Thanks!

Sorry if this seems like a silly question, we are first-time island travelers. First time out of US, usually vegas or atlantic city our first choice of destinations, but wanted WARMTH, great beach and casino for our honeymoon.

Most hotels own the chairs in front of their hotel which seemed to be reserved for hotel guest. They do have sections were you can rent a chair for $5.00. That is where they drop off guest from crusie ships and if you are not staying at a hotel. We noticed them between the Hyatt and the Occodiental and down by the holiday inn.

I agree with Aruba Amy. Check out the Aruba Beach Club and the Casa Del Mar also. They are timeshare but also rent.

Eagle beach is much less crowded. The high rise section in front of Aruba Grand is very nice but I believe they are closing for renovations. I have moved to the low rise section much more relaxing.

I would suggest the Manchebo Beach Resort and Spa. It's nothing fancy, but the rooms are immaculate, the beach is nothing short of outstanding, not alot of people and the prices are righjt. Excellent steakhouse on premise too. I would recommend not getting the all-inclusive. That way, you have more selection of the other terrific restauarants in town.

Thanks for all your advise.

We are staying at the Wyndham Spa and Resort. Heard good things...so we are excited. NOT doing the all-inclusive. Want variety and no particular time tables.

Just a few more weeks til June 3 wedding then off to Aruba on the 5th.

Have a great week all!
