Child friendly restaurants & tours

We are taking our two children ages 8&9 to Aruba for spring break. Any suggestions for child friendly restaurants would be appreciated. They are not too picky. Also, are there any tours or sights that we shouldn't miss. We are leaving exactly 4 weeks from today and we can't wait!

Thank you Amy!! We were also wondering if we need to rent a car? Or can we get to restaurants and sights by bus or reasonably priced taxis?

Where are you staying?

Alot of restaurants on Palm Beach are walkable if you're staying in that area. Others would be about an $8 taxi ride. And if you take the bus to downtown restaurants that would be $2 roundtrip.

Lots to walk to from the Hyatt.

All of the restaurants I mentioned above are walkable from the Hyatt (except Iguana Joe's which is downtown.)

Another place the kids might like is Moomba Beach Bar (next door to the Holiday Inn) where they can eat on the beach. Very casual atmosphere and casual type food.

We just got back from the Hyatt. Great place to stay with kids. Water slide, pool activities (bingo, volleyball, waterslide contest, water balloon contest) Augie by the towel hut is great with the kids. As far as restaurants: Bucaneer (acquariums), Salt N Pepper (right across the street from Hyatt) Tony Romas, Subway (Playa Linda good for lunch), Dunkin Donuts on boardwalk down near Radisson. Just some money saving tips, the Hyatt does give out refrigerators free of charge, you may want to stock up on soda, juice, milk, snacks, fruit for the kids. These items due tend to get expensive staying at a premium place like the Hyatt . We rented a car for 2 days, stocked up on some food items , and also used it to do some sightseeing, visited other beaches, and to go to the Flying Fishbone for dinner (1/2 hour , $26 cab ride). Great restaurant, on the beach, beautiful at sunset. We did see some families with children there. You may also want to try Adventure Golf, mini golf and video games. You'll have a great time there with your family. Enjoy!
