Undecided! Riu or Divi or Tamarijin? HELP!!

Hi there! I'm looking into booking a trip to Aruba end of July, beginnng August with my boyfriend. We are both 25. I personally have been to Aruba a few years ago and stayed at the Occidental. I LOVED the water and just the island itself, hence why I want to go back! I'd like to try someplace different, definitey ALL-INCLUSIVE but having read all reviews, I'm getting confused! I need some help on deciding between the all inclusives. This is what I want to take into consideration, maybe you experts who have been there could help make my decision easier! :-) We're looking for relaxation but not TOTAL relaxation where we're always going to be tired.

Which all-inclusive would be appropriate for:

- younger age groups, mid 20s

- possibly a swim-up bar

- day music/entertainment (to break away from the quiet!)

- is the water at the Riu the same at the Divi because it was BEAUTIFULLLLL when I went

- Casino

- Not overly crowded where it's bothersome and cannot find space on the beach

- short distance to the bars in town for entertainment at night.

- CLEAN

Granted, we can't have it ALL but we are looking for fun and relaxtion. I noticed the DIVI had some cleaniness issues, I'm getting mixed reviews and there is a big difference in prices. I want to make the best choice. ANY info will help! THANK YOU!!!!!

There have been recent reports of lack of management responsiveness to break-ins at the Divi (the Tam is part of the Divi organization.) I don't think many long-time posters would recommend a Divi property.

This breaks my heart.

First of all look to the right under Top Questions About Aruba and they compare these resorts. I can only speak to the Riu... we loved it. Went back twice. It is very clean, has great pools and swim-up bar, excellent food. We, however, are 49 and 52, but consider ourselves youthful. The water is great and there is a small casino. You are within short distance of everything. The beach is somewhat crowded. The palapas are taken early. We spent most of our time at the pool anyway and never had trouble finding shade or sun. You won't have trouble finding chairs on the beach though. We saw people at the Riu of all age groups and there is music during the day and exercise classes in the pool which were fun. We are considering going back again this year, because the flight times work with our schedule and we had such a positive experiece. Hope this helps!

I think your best option would be the Riu.

From what you describe I'd say for sure the Riu - not to mention the problems recently at the Divi Properties.

My nephew also loves the Occidental and goes every year there- might be worth a look. The Beach is wider and less crowded up the other end, but Palm Beach hits your other requests.

Thank you... I'm leaning more towards the Riu. We just don't want over-crowdness. Is that considered busy season in Aruba? From what I'm reading, we wouldn't be able to get a palapa unless we woke up SUPER early! Is that true?

Not sure about July, but shouldn't be as busy. We always travel in Feb so different story. There are trees to put your loungers under too and I think you can rent umbrellas as well from a vendor, which you don't want to do if you're staying all-inclusive. You'll love the Riu I think if this is your decision.

The RIU for sure. It has most of your list and puts you in walking distance for what your looking for. It has a Hugh open pool which i think is one if the nicest on the Island. Although I have never stayed there a have been in the property a number of times and it's so spread out that it never looks or feels crowded.
