Getting from Airport to LaCabana?

Hey my newly wedded husband and I were gifted a room at LaCabana by my Aunt. We've never traveled outside the US by ourselves so we're wondering what's the best way about getting from the Airport to La Cabana??

By the way, I've been using this site to read reviews on almost everything and you all have been very helpful!

If you are taking a cab, then yes just go outside the airport and catch one. If you are renting a car, make a left when leaving the airport. At the first round about, go straight into downtown O'stad. This will be congested, but just relax and enjoy the sights. At the next round about, do the same and stay straight, there will be a gas station on your left. At the next light, make a left and you will be following the water, going past the Tam, Divi, Alhambra casino, Bucuti, Costa Linda and a few other. LaCabana is just a bit up the road on your right side. It is a very large resort, you will have no problem seeing it.

They have a good happy hour there at the Pata Pata bar with some good entertainment, so check it out.

Hope you enjoy.

Since you will be traveling internationally for the first time, if you were interested in per-arranging a pick up see the information at tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g147247-i144-k4415…

No matter which taxi you use, always verify the fare with the driver before getting into the taxi. Know what the fare is supposed to be so that you are not overcharged.

Taxi fare from the airport to La Cabana will be $22 for the two of you, not per person. Add an additional $3 to the fare for Sunday rides.

You could also go to www.viator.com and book a roundtrip transfer. The bus is run by DePalm Tours, which also runs a lot of island adventures. When you come out of baggage claim, you will see representatives in yellow shirts. Give them your voucher, and they will give you a roundtrip ticket for your return. Buses are right outside the airport, and will drop you off at LaCabana.

The day before your return, have the concierge at LaCabana call DePalm Tours to reserve your trip back to the airport.

Roundtrip is $19.99 per person.

Enjoy LaCabana!
