If you plan on eating out make some reservations for yourself ASAP.
Celebrations are big
Outdoor reservations are nice to see fireworks
Most of the large resorts will have special dinners and parties for NYE. Check with your hotel (and others) to see what each one entails.
We celebrated NYE in Aruba a few years ago and attended the NYE dinner party at Amsterdam Manor outside at their pool area. It was a set price and menu for dinner along with live music and dancing. At midnight there was a champagne toast at their upper level pool bar to watch the fireworks on the beach. We booked it a couple of months in advance.
Alot of people also drive to the lighthouse to watch fireworks at midnight. Just make sure you get there early because it will be crowded.Edited: 1:21 pm, August 28, 2014
