Aruba -Gay

I am planning a trip to Aruba in Sept, staying at Tam Resort. Any problem with my boyfriend and myself being there. Any tips? suggestions? thanks!

The Divi Tamarin is just about the oldest hotel on the island..I was here 20 years ago when there were only 3 hotels, the Divi being one of them, and there was no room service, the room was much like those at the New Jersey Shore, the only highlight was the beach really. There are much better hotels for the money, I'd go with the Holiday Inn if I were you. It's not like your typical Holiday Inn, it's great. Last time we stayed there, about 3 years ago, the rates were about 125 per night...for the last 3 years, we rent a studio apartment with a kitchen, pool, front porch that looks out on to the sea, for only $100 per night...the absolute only thing that one might find slightly inconvenient is that the beach it looks out on to is kind of rocky, so you have to take a walk or a car ride 2 blocks down (again, this place is ON THE STREET THE OCEAN IS ON...not 2 blocks off the ocean, but on the ocean, just not a very sandy beach right in front of the place) and you begin the "string of beaches" that belong to the hotels and where the wind surfers are. Car rentals are extremley well priced here. You get a little car for a about 150 a week, and it's so, so, so worth doing. Don't corral yourself into "hotel world"...get in your car and go to every single beach along the sea side. There are about 20 of them, and each one is a little different, offering a little something the other ones don't. Again, the Divi Tam is just not where it's at. Look up Sunset Beach Studios and view the photos and all. See what you think. If you stay threre, just make sure to get an OCEAN vie studio, not a garden view (although the gardens are almost half the price). It's a wonderful experience to sit out on your front porch and see the sea :)

The Divi and the Tam have been nicely renovated over the years and have proved themselves to be some nice, affordable all-inclusive resorts that people enjoy. All of the rooms at the Tam are oceanfront and you can use the facilities (restaurants, bars, etc.) at both resorts.

Enjoy your stay in Aruba! :)

Divi and Tam are very nice.

They've been doing AI for quite some time, and do it well.

You are staying at the Tam, You probably know, but just in case, you also have all privileges at Divi - a sister resort. Have a good time.
