Tours from St. James Club?

Hi there,

We are a group of four who arrive at St. James Club in three weeks and want to do a basic island tour of the highlights. Is it better to rent a cab or does anyone know of any specific tours that leave from St. James Club?

Consider renting a car, prices are reasonable and you can come and go as you please. You can go into town for shopping, take a ride into the rain forest, fig tree dr., stop for a bite to eat and a drink and stop at any beach you see to take a swim. Check out Shirley Heights or Devils Bridge. The nice thing about having a car is you can take your time at any location you choose. We have been renting a car for the past few years, it's worth it. Don't forget stay to the left.....

I would agree that it is good to rent a car yourself, which we always do, but perhaps you would get more local information and insight from an organised tour. You can arrange several tours from guest services in the lobby, or take one of the taxis from the resort and be guided by your driver.

You could do a tour first to get the feel of the island, then perhaps hire a car for a couple of days to go back and spend some time at the places you particularly liked.
