Grand Pineapple or Hawksbill?

Thinking of going on a last minute to either Grand Pineapple or Hawksbill. We love to snorkle, like a resonable choice of food and dont need any entertainment. Just a chill out week away. Which one would you choose? What are the best points of either?

Hello,

Both places are lovely-Hawksbill is probably the quieter of the two hotels, not sure about the snorkelling though.Grand Pineapple is set on a really beautiful beach, good fish viewing too! If a beach is important to you, then personally,GP has the best, Hawksbill is on a slightly smaller stretch of beach. You really won't go wrong whichever place you decide to stay in-have a lovely time.

The snorkeling will be better at Grand Pineapple.

The snorkelling is perhaps a little better at GPB, but there is some at Hawksbill, and the best will always involve a boat trip.

For a bit of pure r&r, I'd go with Hawksbill. The grounds are gorgeous, and although they're not as long, there's a choice of four beaches (including the island's only clothing optional one). It's a quiet, rather traditional resort, without a lot of organised entertainment. The Royal Palm Beach rooms are IMO the nicest.
