best time to visit GTNP and YNP

Considering a trip the end of May first of June, or around the 4th of July. In terms of possibility of wildlife what will we see- and your suggestions on when is the best time would be appreciated, weather wise, lodging wise etc. thanks :)

We've been twice in late May, once in late August and again this year in mid September.

Our first trip in late May in 2007 we had warm and sunny weather. Our second trip in late May in 2008 we had cold, snowy weather with road closures.

Had a great trip both years but had to be flexible in 2008 with our plans and road conditions. We saw lots of wildlife babies both years.

If I was planning to visit I would try and come more toward the middle of June- possibility of better weather and still lots of wildlife babies.
