East Entrance to the West Entrance

With traffic and assuming no site seeing stops, how far and how long of a drive is it from the East Entrance of the park to the West Entrance?

From gate to gate (East to South...no West) approx 45 to an hour depending on what time of day it is! You will have more vehicles to contend with along the Village area and at night time....wildlife! Speed limit is 25 -35 in some areas so it will be a slow drive!

If you were referring to East gate to Hermits Rest (West Rim Drive) it will be longer! You cannot drive your vehicle along the West Rim Drive you must take the shuttle! The shuttle makes stops at all the view points along this drive so it will take you closer to 2 hours for this!

The question is not how long will it take. The question should be, how much time will you give to the canyon? I can sit at Lipan Point for an hour or more and still not see what is there to observe.
