Side trip from Sedona/GNP

We are planning to fly into Phoenix in July and drive to Sedona for 3 nights and then on to GCNP (already have our res. for 2 nights at El Tovar). Was reading about the great rafting trips out of Page, AZ (we'd just be looking at a half day excursion, with time considerations), also Monument Valley and so son. Would anyone recommend a side trip (overnight) to Page to do this, or a side trip to Monument Valley? Could we drive from Sedona, through Monument Valley and then to Page for the evening, or is that too much driving? (We'll be doing a lot of that, as are leaving GCNP for San Diego)!

Thanks so much!

That would be way to much driving IMO!! Driving from Sedona to Monument Valley is approx 3-1/2 - 4 hours and Monument Valley to Page approx 2 hours of driving

Spending the night in Page and doing the smooth water float trip would be a better choice and if you have time going to MV and spending a night here also!

Thank you so much! Great information! I guess we'll plan on doing the overnight in Page, with the "float trip".

Thanks!
