flagstaff - Grand Canyon (Northern rim) - Monument Valley

As part of our road trip we are going via Flagstaff - Grand Canyon and then on to Monument Valley.

Do you suggest the Northern Rim or is there a part of the Canyon that would help this journey flow better without going miles in a different direction?

We are just really excited about seeing the Canyon and have little views on which bit.

Your help and advice would be much appreciated.

Plan your trip to the South Rim of Grand Canyon! Makes more sense logistically!!

Agreeing that the GCNP south rim is the more logical destination. NR is closed until mid May and after mid October.
