Clarification on geography

Hi there,

I'm assuming Zion is close to the North Rim. If coming from Phoenix, how long a drive is it to Zion, or the Canyon north rim?

Thanks.

According to Rand McNally Zion to the North Rim is about 120 miles.

Phoenix to Zion is 393 miles via Page or 451 miles via Las Vegas whilst Phoenix to The North Rim is 328 miles.

Hope that helps.

I agree with everything except the 451 miles via las Vegas. Las Vegas to the North rim is 262 miles.

Sherz you said you were going in April. The North Rim of the Grand Canyon is closed in the winter because of snow conditions. It doesn't open until Mid-May so this is not an option in April.

Utahtea, will the south rim be too cold to enjoy hiking...I'm cold sensitive & would hate to be freezing in April.
