Glacier to red lodge

Hey guys,

What's is the best route to take driving from glacier to red lodge?

Am I right in thinking that's its about an 8hour drive?

We would like to spend sum time in red lodge so are thinking of splitting this drive into two

That way we could spend a morning in glacier then do a four hour drive, stop and then do another 4hour drive into red lodge the following day so we could spend the afternoon and evening there.

Are there any places worth spending a stop over in that are on route?

Any help is very welcome, thank you

It depends which side of glacier you are driving from....east or west. From east side it's closer.

From west glacier you could drive through the park and stop for the night in great falls then from there it's 4 hrs to red lodge. Great falls is worth a visit with Lewis and lark museum and the falls it was named after.

From kalispell it's about 7-8 hrs drve. What you could do the last night instead of staying in kalispell you could drive a few hours to butte, or Helena.
