Day Hike near visitor center

We are planning to hike Savage River area our first day and at Eielson center the next day during our shuttle trip. We will probably also get off and hike on the return shuttle. We have around an hour our last day before heading out and would like to do a short hike near the Denali visitor center. We have a senior in the group as well as kids. What would be a good hour long hike near by? Any of the trails better or worse? I personally prefer being within the trees, but what does each trail offer?

The top map is an interactive map of entrance trails. Mouse-over the trail name for the info.

The second map is similar to the first, but enlarges to read the names of the trails better.

I like the Rock Creek trail.

Here are the various trails - I think my favorite is the Savage Loop trail - you can drive your car to the parking lot and head out from there. Or you can also do Horseshoe lake too.

I like Horseshoe Lake for your group and the time you have. I have often seen moose and beavers while hiking this trail.
