Can you rent gold prospecting equipment around anchorage

Husband loves to go gold mining, but very expensive to bring all the equipment on the flight from houston to alaska. Any suggestion?

I would give Alaska Mining & Diving Supply a call. They are the "go-to" place in Alaska for mining info.

Tammy, you can probably pick up a plastic gold pan and WalMart or Freddies for less than $10........that should keep him busy looking for gold......just make sure you are not on private property......

We took one along for years backpacking....in addition to the entertainment factor, it is also useful as a camp sink.......

A few years ago I picked up a book at AK Minimg & Diving called "Where to Pan for Gold in Alaska Without Getting Shot".

Oh, I've got to get that book. Maybe I can find it on Ebay.

Thanks,
