I planning to take the park shuttle bus in Denali Nat'l Park on Aug 16, but I only have one full day, so I would like to make use of my time there as much as possible. I would like to go to Wonder lake but it's a 12 hours ride round trip, so I am debating maybe I should go up to Eielson Visitor Center instead, but I dont want to miss out important sights.
Hence the questions:
Are there any difference in landscape, sights between Eielson Visitor Center to Wonder Lake and on the way to Eielson VC? I have read that you can also see Mt.McKinley from Eielson Center on good day. So is it worth spending all the time travel to WL?
Is it hard to find seat from EVC if I decided to upgrade to WL?
How much time the shuttle bus stops at Eielson VC and Wonder lake? The shuttle schedule is 7.15am or 9.15am, if I take the 9.15am shuttle to WL, would I miss seeing wildlife or too dark when I get back from WL? ( I am not a early person). Would I have enough time left to do other stuffs at EVC on the way back?
Thanks for your inputs in advance!
