Lunch on a shuttle bus or picnic?

We will take a shuttle bus to Fish Creek next week.. yeah! My question is what most people do for lunch when they take the shuttle bus into Denali? Do they eat on the bus or do they wander out to find a picnic spot? Where are a good pinic spots for a group of seven with a couple of grandparents?

I have sen most people snack along as they travel on the bus, passing by the pleasure of picnicing. When we have picniced, we have simply wandered uphill from the road for a better view and to get away from any road dust.

Anywhere the weather is good is just fine, but one specific place is at the Polychrome Pass stop. You are high up, toilets are near by, and there are some prepared paths you can take up the hill that are not too demanding. You can wander farther afield to a more private spot if you wish. We have had wild foxes approach and try to beg, but do not feed them.
