Zion to Bryce dilemma

Hi

I have three options on our trip to Zion and Bryce and don't know which is best.

in early July should we:

Day 1 Las Vegas > Zion then see some of Zion (stay Zion)

Day 2 see Zion then drive Zion > Bryce late in afternoon/evening to be at Bryce before sunset and late dinner (Stay Bryce)

Day 3 Bryce 8am trail ride (stay Bryce)

Day 4 Bryce to Grand Canyon all day drive.stay Grand Canyon)

OR

Day 1 Las Vegas > Zion then see some of Zion (stay Zion)

Day 2 see Zion (Stay Zion)

Day 3 Leave Zion at 5:30am and drive to Bryce for 8am trail ride (stay Bryce)

Is the wildlife worse in the morning or evening or are both bad?

Day 4 Bryce to Grand Canyon all day drive.stay Grand Canyon)

OR just do the trail ride at 1pm in the afternoon? Would this be too hot?

Do you need to take the trail ride?? You could see Bryce without it and that would make life a little easier.

If it just doesn't work out time wise then suck it up and take the afternoon ride. Temperatures are variable and you may luck out and get a day when it isn't too hot.

The trail ride is number one priority atm.

From what I've read it's a great way to see Bryce Canyon from below the rim. It is also the highlight of many peoples trip to not just to Bryce but to the US. If I organise our time, now, we will get to do the morning ride.

Thats why your help is so invaluable. Thank you. : )
