Hi bill c.

I will try to help you out and get you started with a few thoughts.

At the top right of the main Utah forum page is a list of topics that cover some destinations in Utah, possibly might be worth looking at for some ideas, give you a feel of what you might want to do, or add to your trip

tripadvisor.ca/ShowForum-g28965-i411-Utah.ht…

If you have ten days, nine nights, you could look at something like this.

Fly into Las Vegas

3 nights GCNP

2 nights Cortez

2 nights Bryce

2 nights Springdale

back to LV

or for something else to break up some of the drive

Fly into Las Vegas

2 nights GCNP

1 night Monument Valley

2 nights Cortez

1 night Page

1 night Bryce Canyon City

2 nights Springdale

return to Las Vegas

See if this might work for you, or give us some ideas what you will like to accomplish, or want to do at your destinations. People on this forum can help you out with places/where to stay , routes, activities and good ways to see the parks you plan on seeing

I vote for the 2nd route Widmarsh has given you. 2 nights in GCNP often are enough

Welcome to the forum, bill c.

Good starting suggestions from Widmarsh. I do agree with Tet, 2 nights at Grand Canyon is ample and you can also provide cover Bryce Canyon with just a one-night stay. Two nights is the absolute minimum for Zion. Really depends on what your plans are at the parks. If you plan on doing a lot of serious hiking, then more time is needed at each location.

Another good planning resource is the travel article linked below:

This is a primer of sorts for touring the Grand Circle and has a lot of good ideas that will help with your planning

If you start Phoenix I'd take us89A towards Zion and us89 to Page. Instead Cortez try to stay at Far View Lodge insode Mesa Verde NP (when open) Keep in mind Mesa Verde to Phoenix can take up to an 8 hours drive.

If that isn't what I said, it is what I meant... though I think that is what I said :-)

You forgot the "A" in the first Az89. The OP may think they are the same routes and they are not.
