Is Arches NP Good for a December Visit?

Thinking of going in late December. Can you hike? Or is there too much snow? We don't do winter sports.

For sure, you should not have a problem with too much snow to do select hikes. It is possible you could hit rainy/snowy/cold weather, but you could also have very nice moderate temperatures. Come prepared for weather, plan day out for warm periods and you should be fine.

We have done Christmas down in Moab. While it's not the best time, it can also be great. And if that's when you have the time, don't miss the opportunity.

There is never a bad time to visit Moab or Arches. But winter can happen. Just be prepared with clothing that you can layer, and have a plan B for hikes if weather is inclement.
