Should we be able to view fall foliage in Acadia by the last week in September, or would first week in October be better? Also, how cold are the days this time of year?
The first week of October would be better. Foliage is usually at its peak of color around October 12th in Acadia. Daytime temperatures are usually around 60 degrees. Nighttime temps can dip into the high 40s, making early mornings a bit chilly.
Thank you! Wanted to see some colors but don't want to be too cold! Now, the hard part...finding a nice but affordable place to stay!
