Planning a Trip in Mid August

We are a group of 4 adults, planning a road trip to Sangla Valley from 15 to 18 August. Just wanted to know that after the devastation took place in Uttarakhand, is it safe to go on our own vehicle to Sangla valley. Are the road conditions fine.

This might not help you as dont know the situation in Sangla valley but currently in Uttrakhand, roads have been remade, we didnt face any problems at all and their is no traffic at all. We drove till Chamlli so can only comment till here.

You should fi d out first the situation of roads and land slides in the valley if all well no problems to take your own vehchle...normally a jeep is recommended!

All the best!

The road condition is not very good. But the place is worth the suffering of the bad road conditions.

Thanks and regards,
