We will be in Cape Panwa for Songkran - just wondering what to expect? Will we see any festivities etc?,

Just kids throwing water. (adults too)

They start about 10 AM and go until dark.

Don't plan on driving anywhere as traffic gets clogged up as many pickup trucks fill up with friends and family and go off on their water throwing journeys.

Songkran is quite good fun but Cape Panwa is fairly quiet. Generally there are big containers of iced water and people running round with water guns, buckets of water and anything they can fill up to throw at you. Also flat back trucks with people and containers on them driving round .
