West Coast Wilderness Lodge

We are due to stay at the West Coast Wilderness Lodge in Egmont as the last stay to our 16 day holiday in September of next year.

Our plane is due to take off at 1.30pm on 16th September from Vancouver to return to the UK. Is it likely to be a push to travel to the airport taking into account the ferry we would have to take from Langdale to Horseshoe Bay. Ehat sort of time would we have to leave Egmont.

Any ideas or recommendations?

You should catch the first ferry to Vancouver. I imagine you need to be at the airport by 10:30 am. Its almost an hour drive from Horseshoe Bay.

I would urge you to travel the day before and stay in a hotel near YVR on the night of the 15th. As mentioned you will need to be at the airport by 10:30 for an international flight which means you would have to be at Langdale for the 6:20 am ferry. Get off the Sunshine Coast the afternoon before and be relaxed and confident. You would not have to be worried about a mechanical breakdown of the ferry, rush hour traffic into and through Vancouver and the possibility of up to an hour to return your rental car. A 6 pm flight, that's a different story, but not a 1:30 pm flight
