Rio Lagartos or San Felipe?

We are planning a trip in March and I have been doing a lot of reading online. Many travellers have been of the opinion that staying in San Felipe is preferable and then travelling on to Rio Lagartos in the morning for the flamingo tours rather than staying right in Rio Lagartos.

Can anyone share opinions and recent travel experience with me?

Does anyone have contact information for the San Felipe Hotel? e-mail address?

Any information about transportation between San Felipe and Rio Lagartos? We will not have a car.

DiegoNunez.

I think you will find it best to just arrive with your dog and see what happens. We did not have much luck when we tried calling to get information but our Spanish is poor and maybe we did not get through to the manager/owner. The hotels we saw do not look like they would refuse a guest/dog so long as they were paid and the "guest" was behaved. It might be crowded this week because it is "Spring Break" in parts of the USA and Canada and many people are on vacation.
