HoneyMoon at Sikkim in May 2013

Hi,

I am planning to visit at sikkim in May-2013. Below is my trip plan

18th May: Reach at Bagdogra Airport and Move towards to Gangtok. Stay at Gangtok

19th May: Stay at Gangtok

20th May: Lachung- Zero Point, Yumthang vally,gurudongmar lake. Stay at lachung

21st May: Visit to Lachen and lachen river and Move to Gangtok for stay

22nd May: Move to pelling and stay at Pelling

25th May: Move towards Bagdogra Airport

Kindly provide me suggestions. Also let me know good hotels in Gangtok and Lachung.

It seems... I have to pay 38000rs for hotel and rest of i.e. 35000rs travelling.. so that I am having concern 35000rs is bit high amount.

What is the permit charg for Nort sikkim tour mainly for lacen and lachung for two person?

You don't have to pay extra for the permit charge, that should be included in package.

My trip plan is as below:

1 Sat: May 18, 13 Bagdogra Airport to Gangtok, 130kms in 4 Hrs.– We receive you on your arrival and drive to Gangtok (Alt 5550Ft / 1675M), the Capital of Sikkim. Check in at Hotel. Free Evening, Overnight at Gangtok

Arrival Executive holding a placard of your name: Mr.Rakesh/Nandan: 08348689408

2 Sun: May 19, 13 Gangtok to Tsongo Lake with Baba Mandir Excursion – 52kms in 3hrs - One way (Timing: 7.30AM to 2.30PM). After breakfast drive to Tsongo Lake (Alt 12000ft/3600M), a high altitude alpine lake close to Indo-China Border. Enjoy playing in snow and try Yak Ride and proceed further to Legendary Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir. Back to Hotel for late Lunch.

Optional tour to Nathula Pass(Alt 14000Ft / 4200M) on China Border can also be arranged (Except Mon, Tue) for Indian Nationals only with 30 Days Advance Request at an additional cost.

Afternoon is free for personal activities. Overnight at Gangtok

3 Mon: May 20, 13 Gangtok to Lachen, 130kms in 7hrs – Morning drive to Lachen in North Sikkim (Alt 9175Ft / 2750M). On the way visit Singhik, Seven Sister Water Falls, Chungthang Confluence. Lunch at a local restaurant on the way. Check in at local Guest house or hotel. Free evening and Overnight at Lachen

4 Tue: May 21, 13 Lachen to Thangu, Chopta Valley and Gurudongmar Lake (for Indians Only), Total 120kms in 6hrs– Early morning drive to Thangu Village (Alt 13625Ft / 4100M), a remote high altitude village of Tibetan Nomads and also proceed further to Chopta Valley (Alt 13325Ft / 4000M) to get some breathtaking view of alpine valley of frozen rivers. From Chopta Valley drive for another 30kms in 1.5hr to Gurudongmar Lake (Alt 17375Ft / 5225M) close to Tibet Border, the one of the Highest and biggest fresh water lakes in Sikkim. Back to Lachen for Lunch.

Lachen to Lachung, 50kms in 2.5hrs – Check out from Lachen and drive further to Lachung (Alt 8075Ft / 2425M) via Chungthang. En route visit Chungthang Confluence and Vimnala Water Falls. Check in at hotel. Free evening Overnight at Lachung

5 Wed: May 22, 13 Lachung to Yumthang Valley Excursion 25kms in 1.5hrs (One Way) – Early morning drive to Yumthang Valley (Alt 11925Ft / 3575M), an Alpine flower valley in North Sikkim. Enjoy the scenic landscape and Hot spring and drive back to Lachung for Lunch. Optional tour to Yumesamdong Valley (Alt 15750Ft / 4725M) for Indian tourists only – From Yumthang Valley you can drive for another 30kms in 1.5hr to Yumesamdong or Zero Point close to Tibet Border, one of the highest motorable roads in Sikkim and back to Lachung (at extra cost and prior intimation)

Lachung to Gangtok, 125kms in 5hrs – Check out from Lachung and drive back to Gangtok (Alt 5550Ft / 1675M) via Chungthang. Check in at hotel by late afternoon. Free evening Overnight at Gangtok

6 Thu: May 23, 13 Post breakfast Half day Gangtok City tour – (Timing: 8.30AM to 1.00PM). Visit Bonjhakri Falls, Government Institute of Cottage Industry (Closed on Sunday, 2nd Saturday), Orchid House Flower Show, Sikkim Research Institute of Tibetology, Dodurl Chorten.

Gangtok to Pelling, 130kms in 4.5hrs – Check out from Gangtok and drive to Pelling in West Sikkim (Alt 7175Ft / 2150M) via Rabangla. Enroute Optional visit to Temi Tea Garden and Sumdruptse Statue. On arrival check in at Hotel. Free evening. Overnight at Pelling

7 Fri: May 24, 13 Full Day Pelling City Tour (Timing: 8.30AM to 4.30AM). Local tour in Pelling with visits to 8 popular tourist points – Darap Village and Valley, Rimbi Waterfalls, Rock Garden, Kunchenjungha Water Falls and Khecheopalri Holy Lake. After lunch visit Pemayangtse Monastery, Helipad View Point, Rubduntse Palace Ruins and Bird Sanctuary. Free evening Overnight at Pelling

8 Sat: May 25, 13 Pelling to Bagdogra Airport , 145kms in 5hrs– Check out from Pelling and drive back to Bagdogra. Farewell and tour ends.
