Alykes Area

Hi can anyone help? Going self catering to Alykes in August and wondering if there's many supermarkets ect! What are the prices like, are they the same as home? How big is the resort and is there much to do, going with 2 teenage boys and 1 10yr old girl! If there isnt much to do is it possible to get round the island by bus? Are the other resorts nearby, we did stay at tsilivi last october but alot of it had closed down ready for winter so wouldnt mind going there for a day to see what its like. Any tips or suggestions would be very welcome.

Yes a few supermarkets and bakeries around the resort but generally it's cheaper eating out with budgets to suit all. Montes is the biggest supermarket in the area but it's not cheap with most prices higher than here in the U.K. Bus service is O.K. but far from punctual. Your children will be very occupied during the long hot sunny days, snorkelling and swimming in the warm safe clear waters is great. Quite a few bars and restaurants to choose from, Almost ajoining Alykanas is just a 30 min stroll away along the road even quicker along the beach. You'll find trips down South to go turtle watching, boat trips around to the blue caves at Cape Skinari, there's a water park, etc, etc, great choice of resort. Check out this site below and be sure to print off the vouchers for free local wine in the restaurants:-

Unfortunately the webcams are down at the moment so keep checking as they are normally back online within a few days.
