Orient Beach Area Safety

We will be staying at a Villa for 8 days in December. We have nice rings, watches etc. Is it safe to have those or leave at home? Also is it safe at night to walk around? Have smart phones, are they a target for thieves? Have heard they might be, Any info GREATLY appreciated.

Leave your jewelry and watches at home. Just not worth the risk. I say the same thing to everyone no matter where they are going.

Put your phone in your pocket and leave it there unless you need it. Don't wear it on a clip and don't leave it on the table while you eat. Again, generic advice regardless of destination.

We went out at night without a problem. Orient Bay Park is considered a safe area, but you can be victim of crime anywhere.
