Advice needed on Alicante in November.

I am planning to go to Alicante/Murcia area in November. I would really appreciate advice about the busiest resorts at that time of year, places that are easy to navigate my way around and that are easy to make friends in eg. shopping, restaurants, bars, general socialising, I plan to stay for 1 month but may be there on my own for two weeks, although I gave been to several areas in Spain this area will be a new destination, therefore all suggestions and advice will be appreciated, thanks.

When you say Murcia are you talking about flights in to MJV (san Javier) airport as the surrounding areas can be quiet unless you head to Cabo ~Roig, La Zenia, Playa Flamenca Punta Prima, these towns have a lot of Europeans who visit all year round. Alicante city is busy all year round as this is a working city and has lots of tourist all year round also you have the facility to use the tram which will take you further up the coast to Benidorm and beyond.

Thanks a lot, as I will be travelling from Ireland it very much depends on the availability of flights. I have been looking at Cabo Roig and other beach towns on that part of the coast, and you are right I would not like it to be deserted. I spoke a couple of weeks ago with a lady who hAs an apartment in Torrevieja and she assures me it would be quite busy. So hears to ""taking the bull by the horns" as we say, thanks again.

Hi,

I also recommend Alicante. The beach is right there, the weather is always perfect, there is lots of shopping, bars, etc. I would consider it a pretty good city to socialize. Even though it has lots of tourists, there is plenty of "local feeling". It's a really great place. Hope you will enjoy it!

Do take a pullover or two and a Macintosh. It can rain quite heavily in November and may be cold.
