We recently did Kumaon trip. Our trip details was as follows -

We reached Kathgodam via train and took a taxi from there for the next 5 days. It took us to Sattal (where we planned to stay). On the way we saw Bhimtal. Next day we did Nainital sight-seeing. so it was a 2 night stay at Sattal. From Sattal we moved forward to our resort which was located between Almora and Kausani. One day we did Kausani sight-seeing. (it was again a 2 night stay there). Onward journey was towards Corbett via Ranikhet. And then we catch the train back from Ramnagar.

You can do something similar.

For nanital region you need 2 days as there are 4 lakes in that area - nainital, sattal, bhimtal, nautakichal

From Almora, you can easily do binsar and kausani.

My personal experience is all these places are similar hill station, so stick to a fewer places and spend more days in one place, otherwise you will end up only traveling most of the time.

Hi abhishek..

Kumaoon becomes more beautiful and mesmerizing after october..on its full glory..

Start it from corbett national park..nearest railwat station is ramnagar/kotdwar.. Stay 2 nights in corbett..

Move to binsar - stay 2 nights in binsar - visit jageshwar..

Come to nainital via almora..stay a night in almora..visit local places..

Move for nainital- Stay at nainital - pangot is hardly 16 kms from nainital so you can stay here..visit one day to pangot..one day for nainital sight seeing-naini lake etc ..one day to sattal/bhimtal/naukuchiatal

To return-take your train from kathgodam..

2 nights for corbett

2nights for binsar

1 night almora

3 nights for nainital

You may cancel 1 night stay at almora and can spend 4 nights in nainital..also can skip almora and stay 1 night in ranikhet..
