Another first timer

We are planning our first trip to Port de Pollenca and trying to get an idea of the scale and size of the place. We want to be in the middle of things as I can't walk very far. We're looking at Pine Walk sort of area - some of the apartments we've looked at seem to be nearer to the dual carriageway but say they very close to be beach and restaurants - what is the actual distance between the beach and the dual carriageway?. We've found an apartment in the Boquer area called Boquer 21 which looks very nice, also another one which is on the far side of the dual carriageway called Casapilot. There are another two we like which are on the beach but seem to be further away from Pine Walk called First Sea Line Apartment and Sea Frontline Apartment.

We would be grateful for any info.

Thank you

Check it out on Google streetview. You can "walk" the route from home that way.

Not stayed in them but the apts at/around Boquer21 do look nice from the outside. Good location about 5 mins walk to seashore and another 8 or so mins along lovely Pine Walk footpath to resort centre (the area close to marina roundabout).

First Sea line advert & it's steetview link indicates to me its near Tamarell's beach bar which is on the excellent south bay beach and is about 13 mins walk along the prom to resort centre.

Both the above are in good locations, in different ways. (Can't get enough info on either of the other two you've mentioned, so cannot comment).

PS - the dual carriageway/bypass is not busy and does not get noisy, just some passing traffic.

For more traditional Mallorcan food (and off the main drag, behind it), O Lume has a lot of fans (best to book in advance to get a table in their semi-hidden courtyard).. Our favourite restaurant Is Stay, see link below; on the side of the marina, upmarket, good for fish and their MDD is surprisingly good value for quality (and includes 'free' wine & water which other restos often charge extra for.

Can't directly help with music bars except that you will find music in different bars on different nights near The Square. The Hustlers are worth seeking out; as is 'Rod Stewart' when he's around.

All the above places are about 10+ mins stroll from Villa Concha and near to marina roundabout.

No - Alcudia is in one direction and buses to inland town of Pollensa are in opposite direction. Pollensa is well worth the visit; and seek out not just the main square with its church & cafes but behind that and left a bit in the back streets is the start of the 400+ steps straight to the top of the hill - a must-do if the legs are up to it. Old walled-town of Alcudia is also very interesting & traditional (ie different for the tourist resort of Puerto Alcudia).

And here's some bus info - routes 340 & 345 are the ones to inspect.

Hi Amber - to post a new question it's best to start a new topic. On the green bar above this, press "more" and a drop down menu appears. Choose "travel forum" and you get a list of topics. Above the list is "ask a question" which you click on to start your own topic. No problem with tagging on to another question but it's less likely to get answered (I've made the same mistake myself). Okay so to answer your question - a favourite of ours doesn't really count as being on a back street but it's in the main square as opposed to the ones with sea views.. It's Osteria No. 15 - we recommend the lamb. Not cheap though. Details on the PP restaurant review list. Another one we like for simple, reasonably priced food including fish and pork is Bar Coral (see review list) behind the Pine Walk. We intend to try Centric this year (see review list). Music bars - do you mean live or recorded? There are some but it's not really a PP specialty. Have a great time.
