Honeymoon grande luxury room at SWH

We are going to Sandals WH in July for the first time and will be staying in the honeymoon grande luxury room, which is a basic room. Was curious to hear from those that have stayed in this room category and what village you preferred. Thanks so much.

All the room layouts are the same until you get to the Concierge and Butler rooms with "suite" in the name. The French Village is the more active, it has a pool with swim up bar and the beach down there has the least amount of sea grass in the water. The Dutch Village is quieter and the middle village and it has its own pool, no swim-up bar though. The Italian is the closest to the main pool and most of the restaurants. It does not have it's own pool per say, but a very large hot tub. It is close enough to the main pool that it is fine. We stayed in the Italian and liked its location. None of them are bad!

Thanks Lori. Was this particular type of room on the 3rd floor? Was it quiet in the Italian village?

Joe...we have stayed in that room category in the French Village (see my avatar for the sunset view) and totally enjoyed the location and the view from the room.

My own personal preference now is to stay in the Italian Village...but that's only because I have bad knees and so prefer a village closer to the restaurants to reduce the walking distance. We just returned from SWH last night and our friends stayed in the French Village and loved it...didn't mind the walk at all.

With your room category, you will be guaranteed a 4th floor room in the French...or 3rd floor rooms in the Dutch or Italian. You can't go wrong with any of them. The Dutch and French will give you the best sunset views if that is important to you. My recommendation would be not to worry about your placement if you don't have mobility issues...go with the flow and accept whichever Village you are assigned...no matter where you are located, you can spend your lounging time at any of the pools or any area of the beach.

Hi Joe! As TP55 and others pointed out, you can't go wrong with any of the villages! We had the exact same room category last August, and ended up on in the Dutch Village, 3rd floor. We loved the location of our room (great sunsets!), but honestly would have been happy with any of the villages. There is a picture of the room as well as the view from the room in my review for SWH if you'd like to see it! We are contemplating heading back in July, maybe we will see you there!
