Hi All when do you put your watch forward? I put it forward as soo as my bum is on the plane seat.
Yes , so do I .
The plane landing times are in the time zone where you are going.
Put it back again when I get on the plane to return home .
Must remember not to put in on when going to Portugal !
I never bother to change my watch, just add an hour on when I look at it.
I don't have a watch. My phone auto-updates and the hire car has a clock. Who needs a watch?
I prefer a watch as my phone , which is an old fashioned non smart type is usually switched off and only turned on when I want to phone somebody.
I don't bother changing mine, it spends most of the time in the safe. I know this isn't really a travel question although it's interesting - I wonder why this question has remained and the one about housework has been removed?
I suppose it is about travel in some ways as it is about time in different zones that people travel through.
Menorcan gin is very nice apparently.
Do you know where I can get an English breakfast to go with that? How much will it cost and if too expensive where can I buy Rice Crispies in Menorca?
I have moved the topic on your behalf to the Travel Gadgets and Gear Forum as this discussion is not specif to one destination only.

I wait until wheels up. Don't want to get confused if there is a delay. I did have an aborted takeoff earlier this year but never had to leave the plane - just a long delay letting the brakes cool.
I recently went back to wearing a watch so I don't have to be anchored to my phone to simply check the time. I picked up a Citizen dual time zone watch that comes in handy for travel. The primary time zone is show on the main hands and a 24 hour dial shows the secondary zone. Pressing both buttons flips them so you don't have to adjust manually. It also has a radio receiver to sync with the atomic clock in Colorado and the others around the world each night so I never have to reset it.
