What is your best "unusual" gadget?

This post is meant to be fun. I was wondering what people's favorite unique gadgets are for travel. For me, I have two:

Wine Diapers: https://www.amazon.com/Reusable-Padded-Absorbent-Bio-Degradable-Accessory/dp/B004FLK2IU/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1489544575&sr=8-2&keywords=wine+diapers

Foot hammock: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0184Y6ZIO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Both get laughs when I explain them to my friends since they're so unique but they are amazing!

Would love to hear everyone else's go to oddities.

I always carry a Hanging Phone Holder Around Charger Outlet. It is useful when a hotel room, for some reason, has the only electrical out up in the middle of the wall out of reach of a standard length charging cable

Hey guys, I quite enjoy the foot hammock too.

@ Danimal2007: cool gear, thanks for sharing.

In the same vein, you way want to check the adhesive pads that you can directly apply on your feet - fyi I bought them when I traveled to Brazil in July 2016, they are quite efficient but far from extraordinary...

On my end, I would recommend the sand-free beach blanket (I got one, it is a bit pricey but it does its job correctly) - more info here, please let me know if that helps: http://valmy.co/impressive-sand-free-beach-blanket-cgear/

A foldout hook, which is strong enough to hang my carry-bag from a restroom door so it isn't sitting on the floor, secure my toiletries to a towel bar (if the built-in hook is too small), or suspend my handbag from a table in a restaurant so it doesn't have to go behind the chair. It used to be called the Qliplet, and is now the "Heroclip".

Portable luggage scale. Small-sized, fits in a pocket and handy to make sure we're not going overboard bringing stuff back in our checked luggage.

Some really good suggestions here. The only one I've never thought, oh, I wish I had one of those right now! was the portable scale. I've always been a minimalist packer and last month I was preparing for a 3 week, Iceland/Norway/Gothenburg trip. My wife picked up my backpack and said she thought it was too heavy for my domestic Norway flights, 8 kg is the allowance. She weighed it and it was about 4.5 kg. She was surprised and then weighed my bag, which is a carry on but I check on international and European domestic flights. It was about 12 kg.

On my return flight I paid attention to the scale when I checked my bag at Stavanger and it was almost 13 kg. Of course I purchased almost a kg of chocolate in the duty free!

Scales are useful, but not exactly 'unusual'. And if a really light packer, you then need to add the weight of the scales into your minimalist picture ;-)
