Is Mykonos warm enough for sunbathing in September?

We are looking to go to Mykonos and Santorini for our Honeymoon next September (Sep 3rd - 16th).

Ive heard mixed reviews about the weather in September. Some say its warm enough to swim and sunbathe, while others say the wind picks up and its chilly. Ive looked at many weather websites, most of them say the ave max temp is 78. We are used to spending time on the beach in the mid 80’s so 78 seems a bit too cool.

Have any sun lovers been there during this time of year? If so what are your thoughts? Also what is the humidity like? (If its pretty high then that should help).

First half of September is always better than second half weatherwise.

You may want to check the specific forums though Forums>Europe Forums>Greece>Cyclades > (Mykonos) or (Santorini) . Or use search box with key words such as Santorini September weather...

Have a nice honeymoon : )

Don't forget that that temperature is in the shade it will be considerably hotter in the sun.

It might get cool in the evenings (think a light jacket or wrap) towards the end of your time but unless you are very unlucky it will still be very hot in the daytime and the sea will be about as warm as it will ever get.
