When travelling on an organised tour by yourself, as a mature female, do you find similar solo travellers doing the same or are they mainly couples.
I am a male but on any tours i've been on have seen females solo, males solo, and couples.Nobody really pays attention to that stuff from my experiences.
On the tours I;ve taken, not that there are many, there has been a mixture of all sortys. A few solo's, a few couples made up of life partners, and other couples who might be two friends, mother and daughter or son etc. There have also been a few groups of four or more, who have tended to be either families of just friends travelling together. I'd say that overall, the majority will have been couples of some sort.
As in Forrest Gump, you never know what you're going to get, as things can vary from trip to trip.
the tours i have been on have been to see things. Not a dating site. At least i havent seen anything about sex, or if you are married or not. Im sure there are some that will cater to that.
If you have a specific question you may want to ask?Edited: 4:15 pm, October 14, 2017
I have met recently lot of solo travelers women traveling the world in some wild areas and dangerous like india brazil ...that was awsome and they encouraged me to go on
It is true that solo travel works best for people who are content with their own company rather than extroverts who are happiest surrounded by people, but IME, it is far lonelier to be with people with whom you are not compatible than on your own when you can be absorbed in what you (not the tour company) have chosen to see and do.
However, if you feel a tour suits your personality better (which in Europe is the only reason I can think of for taking a tour) Saga Tours is said to have a fairly large proportion of people not travelling in a couple.
If you are considering doing some or all of your trip on your own, this website is very useful:
Many people visit Europe solo(a) without a tour. Basic guide book and info from TA forum posts, you'll be well equipped. Save the tour money, explore Europe and have an amazing trip!

@OhNobody... your fears are your business. For the millions of us that live in Europe we just go on holiday.
Re # 7-- how laughable and misinformed ! How is standing next to someone you know going to protect you from any global danger ? I feel more threatened in the US on my own than in the EU since you are singling out Europe.
I have no qualms about travelling alone to the US or in Europe. I honestly can't understand those who do have such fears, but that's their business. It's true, though, that millions of people live in Europe and ravel alone across the continent every year. Add in the solo visitors from other continents, and there must be large numbers who aren't scared and never come to any harm.
