I am considering booking our Antarctica trip through ExpeditionTrips.com. They are Antarctica travel specialists based in Seattle. I would appreciate comment from any one who has dealt with them. Thanks.
I haven't used Expedition.com, but I highly recommend Travel Wild which is also in the Seattle area. Dennis has years of experience in Antarctica and loves to answer questions any questions about travel to Antarctica.
I have recently returned from a fantastic Antarctic trip, which I booked through ExpeditionTrips, and couldn't recommend them highly enough. I'd definitely use them again. And I'm based in Europe and dealt with them only through email.
They were a pleasure to deal with, totally professional, helpful and friendly. They really came across as genuinely caring that I had a good trip. No question was too small, and responded very quickly to all requests/questions and queries.
Thanks. I have gone ahead to book our Antarctica trip through ExpeditionTrips.com. Based on comments on Tripadvisor it seemed wise to reserve this Gap Adventure trip through a travel company.
By the way, we are doing a self-drive to Ireland in the summer and flying in to Dublin. I am excited and looking forward to both upcoming adventures!
HuaMulan, when are you going to Antarctica? I'm booked on the November 18 trip on the MS Expedition.
Our trip departs Dec. 21. Since you return before we leave, could you post your initial feedback about Gap and the cruise? Enjoy, and thanks.
Hi
We booked directly with oceanic Expeditions who have a ship the MV Plancius they are a really great company the shop has recently been refurbished the food was great we had so much information the guides on board were highly specialized in there fields we had one to two landings a day sorry no gym you won't need it with all the ice walks and you may even get a chance to swim in the ice we did it's amazing
We stayed I'm a couple of places in Ushuaia I would strongly suggest Velho lobo del mar hotel right in the middle of town if you can't get in there look at Tierre del Leyendes the hotel forums are pretty true to form with tripadvisor
Oh yeah we also had a doctor on board he was great especially with the people who had sea sickness the Drake Passage can be terrible the ship we were on handled it with ease have a great time

How was it? We are considering an Amazon Trip through ExpeditionTrips
If you are asking about the service from ExpeditionTrips.com, I felt they did a commendable job. We booked our Antarctica adventure with them, and aboard ship we discovered another couple who had happily made their arrangements through them as well as the Michigan State University semester abroad program who use ExpeditionTrips for booking.
Nice to see the good reviews, I've booked for the Nov 17 Antartic trip through this company and they have been great, so wasn't really worried but as departure time comes close... two poles in 2 months yeah!
