There are cruise ship programs which you can take for a whole week .I have taken two cruises like that ( with my wife ) with WindStar Cruises ,from Venice to Rome and Club Med 2 ,from Lisbon to Nice , both for a week and with 6 stops at 6 different ports during that week. I would like to read the evaluations of TripAdvisor writers before I take such boat cruises in the future .

TA's sister site www.cruisecritic.com has cruise ship reviews( thousands) as well as their own forums, which they call Boards which have sections for every cruise line and every port of call. I have found it very helpful and see no need for TA to duplicate the effort here. Take a look at it- I think it will meet your needs.
