Track the fare for specific flights

We just bought round trip tickets from US to Italy for next summer on Delta/KLM. Is there a tool/app/website where I can track the fares for our specific flights? I'm not comparison shopping, or looking for the cheapest fare somewhere. I'm specifically interested in tracking the price of our tickets in the event the fare drops and I can get money back from Delta. TIA.

What happens if the fare goes up, will you be happy to pay Delta??

I don't know of any such site.

I guess you are referring to Delta's best fare promise? And why not? The difference back PLUS an extra $100 sounds a pretty good reason to me

Good luck

Just check the airlines website each day & do a dummy booking

I'm not sure why you think you may get a refund if the price drops though

If is deltas best fare promise is that not only valid for the day you bought your ticket? Ie you have to find a cheaper fare before midnight the day you bought it and then the promise expires?

If you have already bought the tickets, I assume today at the latest, you don't have long left, plus it needs to be the same itinerary and ticket class ( and there is many ticket classes even in economy) on delta flights doesn't it?

I have never heard of getting money back from Delta after buying tickets!

I don't think they do that. Only a few smaller airlines like Southwest and Alaska Air let you have the fare difference to keep for a year to be used for another flight.

No one I know actually gives you cash back when prices drop.

The rule is to buy your tickets and then just relax and plan your trip.

I'm not sure what it is you're trying to do, but making a purchase based on hoping to hit on a BPG or price matching of any sort isn't the best strategy, whether it be airfare or hotels.

By all means go for it, provided you're happy with that fare regardless. That way it's a win win situation.

And the Best Fare guarantee that I linked is only good up until midnight of the day you bought your ticket.

You so get 24 hours to cancel with no penalty, maybe you'll want to do that and watch for a lower fare in the future. Unless you got a really great fare today.

You would cancel and get credit. Then pay a change fee and rebook. No cash, unless you have a refundable ticket.

Change fees for international flights are usually significantly higher than for domestic ($200 most often for dom.); int'l change fee could be $400. So the fare drop would have to be more than the change fee.

There are a lot of fare alerts. Kayak is one.

To qualify, the lower fare must be an exact match. Make sure of the following:

1. The lower fare must be for the exact same Delta flights, U.S. currency, dates, number of passengers, cabin and booking/fare class as the original ticket purchased that same day at delta.com.

2. The lower fare is not offered at delta.com.

3. The lower fare difference must be $10 or higher per ticket.
