London to LAX - best airline?

Hello,

I am looking to book flights from London to Lax in September.

Preferabley looking at direct flights, in everyone's what is the best airline?

I've looked and the price different between, virgin, BA, united airlines, NAZ air and Delta isn't massively different.

I'm looking for the best for inflight food, inflight entertainment, comfort and customer service.

Any knowledge or advise greatly appreciated.

I would consider BA, they are operating the A380 on that route, Air New Zealand are also very good. Virgin and the American carriers in my opinion are in a lower league.

Best is such a subjective thing, different people want different things. For me it would be BA or AirNZ.

If the cost is similar go with the one that has the best flight times for you.

Don,t consider Virgin or United both are pretty grim, otherwise if prices are the same consider extra value such miles awarded which may help you at a later date.

Keep in mind direct means no change of planes, not necessarily non-stop. For me, the type of aircraft matters as much as the airline. You'll likely get a wide range of opinions, some saying Airline X always good, Airline Y always bad. What aircraft are used for the flights you've checked so far and found similar in price? All of the schedules are acceptable to you? You're flying economy, and not economy plus, biz or first, we assume.

BA will be by far ad away the best. Best plane, best staff, and they aren't American.

Does anyone operate a direct, stopping service between London and LAX?

Another vote for either BA or Air New Zealand.

I fly United, and don't regard it as grim. LHR-LAX is flown on a newly refurbished 777 with full AVOD throughout economy. Hard product wise it's good, though soft product wise (food, service, charge for alcohol or not) BA and NZ have a much better reputation.
