I booked a return flight, Dublin to Sydney with Cheapoair. I used the outgoing flight but wanted to change the return to July instead of January. I am at the stage of pulling my hair out with them. I rang 5 days ago, was told that my ticket was only valid for 6 months. Nothing in my booking documentation states this and they will not answer any of my questions as to where I would find it, If i ask a question they either ask me another question or do not reply. I rang Virgin Austraila, who confirmed, if I had off booked directly with them, I would have a 12 month validity on ticket.
The last guy I spoke to on their 'live help' hung up on me. I was polite at all times with both of them. I spent a bit of time on the internet the other night trying to get more info on them and was not shocked to see that this seems to be a recurring issue with them - Bad customer service and hiking up ticket prices. I did ask for an email to be sent to me with a breakdown of the $2200 dollars, they where asking for to change flights, and just received an email with 'Total". The flight I want to change to in July is $300 cheaper, yes cheaper than the one I originally booked.
I have sent off emails, so I have everything in writing, but have had no response to any of them. The return flight is in 7 days. Any advice at this stage would be really appreciated because if looks like, like a lot of people that have used Cheapoair, I am being left stranded......As they are an american company, what bodies can I report them to?
