What's cheaper?

What's cheaper?

I am flying with Westjet to Toronto and then with Icelandair to Iceland, then on to Manchester.

I have one large suitcase that I am planning on checking, however I know it is going to be overweight.

So I have a few questions if anyone could help me out that would be great!

- Will I have to pay baggage fees for Westjet (usually $35) and then also with Icelandair?

- Which would be cheaper - paying to have another checked bag or overweight fees? And would I have to pay these with each airlines?

Thank you for your help!

Don' think there is a fee for Wesjet for first bag, but double check their website.

Similarly, I believe first and 2nd bag on Icelandair is free up to their weight limit

icelandair.ca/information/…

You would have to see what their overweight fees are from their respective websites and compare that to cost for extra bags, if applicable
