Alcohol in liquid bag

Hi

Travelling to Columbia from Oman in December for our grandson's wedding, via Abu Dhabi and JFK ( Etihad and Jet Blue).

We want to take six miniature bottles of whisky (50mls each) ( special wedding labels) to the wedding. As we will only have hand luggage, does anyone think we will have any problems carrying three bottles each in the liquids bag?

Thanks

Nice gift idea. I expect it's going to depend on security. Some airports, including my home airport, have duty free shops after security selling alcohol that you can take on the flight, so it's not like having bottles of liquor is banned on all flights.

You might need to find out whether the countries you're passing through have rules about bringing in alcohol. In my short visit to the UAE I noticed that the booze regulations were very restrictive.

I see no problem otherwise.

You could always just ship them if it is a concern or worry.

Each container must not hold more than 100mls

So you are ok on that score

And I don't think, within reason, that there is any limit on how many containers you can place in your carry on.

So I think its a goer.

But if not

If they aren't happy, drink it on the spot, keep the empty bottles with the special label and refill them when you get to Columbia , everybody happy LOL

Providing there are no alcohol restrictions anywhere along the line, the miniatures will be fine in your liquids bag.

I frequently fly with 4 to 6 miniatures (refilled) in my hand luggage when flying from or connecting through Muscat,Dubai and Doha and have never had them queried.

Saying that,I did have to sip out of one when the contents were queried once at BHX !

========================================

Don't all your liquid containers have to fit within a single 20*20 plastic bag?
