Connection time at London Heathrow Airport

I have the following connection at LHR.

Via British Airways (T5) Boston - London, 0815hrs/ 1935hrs, BA238

Via Singapore Airlines (T3) London - S'pore, 2205hrs/ 1755hrs, SQ321

Unfortunately, my luggage cannot be checked through due to separate tickets. Will I have enough connection time based on my booked flights.

Please advise. Thanks.

Be very clear. You do not have a "connection". Seeing as you have two separate tickets, you have none of the protections a connection affords. If for any reason the inbound flight is delayed, or you have a long wait at immigration (you will have to enter the UK to collect and re-check your baggage) or there are any other hold ups and you miss your flight to Singapore, neither airline has any obligation to you and you will probably lose your SQ ticket.

Two and a half hours should be enough under normal circumstances but you had better hope nothing major goes wrong.

Shouldn't you have asked this BEFORE you booked?

It's too late now, unless it's a flexible ticket, but I would have tried for a massive transit time if I couldn't get connections on a through ticket.

You need to bear in mind that the immigration at Heathrow will take time especially for non-EU residents.

As you have separate tickets from different airlines using different terminals, you might risk your SQ ticket to Singapore.

It's going to be tight but as you've already booked your ticket there's not much you can do except pray that your incoming flight isn't late.

I would never have made this booking with separate tickets - with only 2 hours 30 minutes between flights I think it's more likely that you'll miss the LHR to Singapore flight and if that happens you will lose that ticket and any return ticket as well.

------

Not if - first fight is late, immigration queues long, long waits for baggage, long queues at checkin, long security queues.

Why are you asking after you booked ? Bit late isn't it?
