VA selecting seats

We are not travelling until next May. what are the chances of us actually getting bulkhead seats on Virgin Atlantic Premium Economy Sydney to London? I am hearing stories of people booking and selecting their seats months before departure and getting split up/put near the toilets! Surely if you are requesting certain seats so far ahead you should get them? Is there any other good airline where you are going to actually get the seats you requested?

You want to <<get the seats you requested?>> the secret is in the lasted word - requested. There are a whole variety of reasons why seating allocations may be changed in the last minute. No airline can guarantee your seats.

The main thing is to regularly check your seat allocations as the flight time approaches. That way if changes are made without your knowledge you are forewarned and can possibly do something about it.

As evamelb says, the seat request is only a request and while it doesn't happen often with VA, they can and do change seat allocations. It has happened twice to us but we have flown almost 100 times with VA!
