I will never buy trip insurance again. It is a rip off. They have so many rules and guidelines that can be interpreted in lots of ways and if they can get out of paying they will. It is not worth the paper that is printed on. So, folks do not throw your money away. Take a chance on whatever comes your way.

I'd rather have the peace of mind too. It also helps if you read into what you are covered for before you commit to buying the insurance.
Insurance all the way. Just read what you are buying.
No way would I consider it a rip off, or travel without it. Over the years it's saved me more money than it's cost me!
It does help if you read the policy before buying!
Always insurance for me, I know what I am covered for too. So many seem to buy the cheapest policy possible online, then moan when they aren't covered for the things they need.
What a daft bit of advice - telling people not to buy travel insurance. If I was to break a leg while on holiday in the USA, it will cost tens of thousands of dollars. If I don't have insurance I'm going to need to sell my house!
I've never had to claim but still never felt it was a waste of money. It's piece of mind.
I'd never go anywhere without adequate travel insurance. Those that do are extremely silly, you just never know what may happen.
I am very satisfied with the travel insurance that comes with my credit card. Never had any problems the few times I have made a claim.
Travelling without insurance is a very bad advice.
If you think trip insurance is a rip-off, price up the cost of an air ambulance to repatriate you or a member of your family after a serious accident.
