3-1-1 bag dimensions

My girlfriend purchased an Orvis carry-on bag that came with a bonus 3-1-1 bag.

It is flat, clear plastic, says "Orvis," and has a zipper top. However, the dimensions are about 9.75" x 7.75". That's a bit larger than the dimensions of a Ziploc brand quart size sandwich bag (about 8 x 7, I think.) It won't be overstuffed.

Should she bag this bag, and get a replacement? Thanks!

A one quart bag would be a pretty large sandwich ;).

She may want to give it a try. Maybe have a back up quart bag just in case.

I usually travel with a 8inch x 5 inch clear plastic wash bag with a zipper top. I have only been asked once (in Dublin airport) to put the liquid contents into a 3.1.1. bag.

As Gracie says, have a back up bag just in case.

All right, back up bag is the plan. Thx again.

I have not bothered to remove my 3-1-1 bag in years even though the line barkers are often yelling about it - never got a second look. It probably will not be an issue, but you can never tell who you may get that wants to turn it into one.
