London to Hong Kong via Amsterdam (Advice needed)

Hi All,

I am flying from London (Heathrow) to Hong Kong via Amsterdam. I have a 2 hour 15 minute stopover in Amsterdam in the morning (10:40am to 12:55pm). I booked via the Cathay Pacific website, flying British Airways from Heathrow to Amsterdam, and Cathay Pacific from Amsterdam to Hong Kong.

A couple of questions:

- In general, is 2 hours sufficient time in transit? (I'm concerned about missing second flight.)

- Do I need to re-check my baggage at Amsterdam, or does it go all the way through to Hong Kong?

- Do I need to clear customs/passport control, or do I simply transfer from one gate to another?

Your advice would be most appreciated.

If you are on one through ticket your luggage will checked through to HKG. No immigration/customs in AMS.

Everything should run very smoothly. You should get your CX boarding pass at LHR at the BA counter as well. The next time you see your bags after LHR should be at the HKG carousel.
